What are the Visiting Hours?

SMHCC is a 24 hour staffed facility. Family members are welcome to visit their loved ones at their choosing while respecting the privacy of other residents. Just be sure to sign the guest book at the front desk.

 

What services are provided and what are the charges?

Nursing care, Activities, Social Services, Laundry and Dietary services are all provided by St. Mary Health Care Center and are included as part of the room and board charge.  The daily room rates are as follows:

Can family/resident bring personal furniture?

Yes just as long as it abides by the fire code. Electronics are inspected for safety by our Maintenance Department

 

Can we celebrate a special event for our loved ones at St. Mary?

Of course! If your loved one has a birthday or anniversary you would to celebrate, feel free to contact us to arrange a private room.

 

 

Are pet visits allowed?

Yes with up-to-date vaccination records. Just leave a copy at the front desk.

 

Is there an in-house laundry service?

Yes we provide in-house laundry service, however, if you prefer to do your loved ones laundry, arrangements can be made.

 

 

Can residents bring their own phone and television?

Yes service will be provided for a nominal fee.

What type of Therapy is provided?

Our facility provides the following four therapies 7 days a week.

Occupational Therapy

Speech Therapy

Physical Therapy

Respiratory Therapy

We also provide Music Therapy and Aroma Therapy.

 

Can residents leave the facility with family members?

Residents can leave with family members per house protocol. A doctor's order must be obtained with the approval from the insurance company prior to leave of absence (LOA). Our qualified nursing department will assist residents and their families in acquiring necessary approvals. Our therapy department will also provide the resident and family services to ensure a safe transfer.

 

Can we bring our own food?

Yes. All food items will need to be checked by our nursing staff in order to ensure proper diet and consistency.

 

 Are meals provided during family visits?

We encourage families to visit their loved ones and will provide a meal for a nominal cost when visiting during meal times.
